Why Cravida POS exists

"Works offline" isn't a real selling point anymore most POS software claims that today. So here's the more honest version of why we built this and what's actually different about it.

You don't need to buy anything to start

Most POS systems assume you have a dedicated terminal, or at least a desktop computer sitting at the counter. Cravida POS runs entirely in a browser phone, tablet, or PC, whatever you already have. There's no app to download and nothing to install. If your shop only has a smartphone behind the counter, that's enough to run a full till. If you'd rather use a desktop or tablet at a fixed counter, it works there too same account, same data, no separate setup.

And if you want to grow into a more traditional setup later, Cravida POS supports connecting a physical receipt printer and a barcode scanner — so you're never locked into "phone-only" if your business outgrows it.

Offline isn't the feature trust is

The real reason offline mode matters isn't the network outage itself it's what happens to the sale when the network drops. A lot of "offline" systems either freeze the till or quietly lose the transaction. Cravida POS saves the sale locally the instant it happens, and syncs it automatically the moment connectivity returns. If a sync genuinely fails say, a stock conflict it's flagged for manual review instead of silently vanishing, so nothing gets lost without you knowing about it.

Built for the "can I trust my cashier?" problem

This is the part most small business owners actually worry about when they hire help, and most POS systems don't address it at all. In Cravida POS:

  • Cashiers log in with a quick 4-digit PIN fast for shift changes, but their access is scoped: they can sell, but they can't apply discounts or see the full dashboard.
  • Discounts require a code issued by an admin or manager — a cashier can't quietly give a friend a "discount" on their own authority.
  • Every cashier opens their shift with a declared starting cash float, and the system tracks their running sales total in real time — so cash reconciliation at the end of a shift isn't a guessing game.

Stock tracking that actually prevents the annoying stuff

Every sale automatically reduces inventory no separate stocktaking step. You get a low-stock signal before you're embarrassingly out of something customers ask for regularly, and a running sense of what's actually moving versus what's sitting on a shelf.

Room to grow, without switching systems

If you're one till today and three branches in a year, Cravida POS already supports multiple branches under one account you won't need to migrate to "the grown-up version" of some other tool later.

Where we're at

We're early, and we're building this closely with the businesses actually using it. If something's missing or doesn't work the way you need it to, tell us that's how this gets better.
